Edna O'Brien, a beloved Irish writer, passed away on July 27, 2024. In honor of her memory, we're going to read her memoir, Country Girl (2012), in August. (Not to be confused with The Country Girls, her first novel, published in 1960.) This selection will mark the book club's first foray into creative nonfiction! The memoir is available in our local online library system, but is currently checked out. You can place a hold on Libby, or order the book from Amazon in all formats.

The Celtic Society Book Club is open to all interested, even if you don't have time to finish the book! All are welcome to come share in the conversation and camaraderie.
